He’s finally done! Mr. Bradley is a classic-styled, glossy black dresser with gold leaf accents. Quite a difference from his original state! I used Valspar Paint + Primer in the simple color “Black.”
After two coats of paint, I added gold leafing to the legs in order to achieve a “gold dipped” look. I also added some leafing to the original hardware to play off the legs. The gold leaf was then antiqued with a dark wood stain that I had on hand. When using gold leaf, I always use either a glaze or stain to give it some depth. This makes a big difference!
Mr. Bradley has a rich, sophisticated look that instantly dresses up any space! His classic lines give the room structure… and who can resist a little *bling*!
